The child can use their handle to assist in holding the leash while the adult uses their handle to maintain control and safety of both the child and dog. Handles are labeled "CHILD" and "ADULT" for proper usage. When not needed, the child's handle buckles and velcros flush with the main leash, converting it to an adult, single-user leash.
